Today I opened Pandora's Box, both literally and figuratively. The Music Genome Project at pandora.com enables you to enter a musical artist, group or genre you like, and somewhere little musical gremlins instantly recommend music you might like, all of which you can listen to for FREE, FREE, FREE.

For instance, by typing in my favorite 1980s wacko, Kate Bush, I was able to discover the 1990s wacko I somehow missed, Tori Amos, who my friend Tara Dublin of 94.7 described as having written her songs "after the Mothership returned her to our planet." That led me to discover 2000s wacko Casey Dienel.
