Saw a fire engine crash into a car today. It was totally the car's fault, as he tried to pull ahead instead of pulling over. I'm told there's a New York tradition of trying to speed along either in front or behind fire engines because you can run the red lights.
Anyway, the firefighters responded to the accident by leaping out and attending to the driver. I was impressed, but couldn't help thinking, "What about that burning building?"

On slow days Firefighters cause accidents so that they have something to do.
They were probably heading over to the crane collapse on the West Side, so I wouldn't worry about any fire.
