New Day #86

I totally heart Nordstroms. Not only are they the most wheelchair accessible store (see yesterday's post), but, on the advice of Willamette Week's Byron Beck, I stopped in at the downtown store for a shoe shine. For just two and a half bucks.

See? SHINY!

Also took a shine to my shiner, who, it turns out, is an aspiring writer. I can't imagine many cities other than Portland where you end up discussing Joseph Campbell with your shoe shine guy.

What's more, with the windows rolled up in the car, I got kind of high from the polish fumes.

Which is just another reason to heart Nordstroms.
