The simple version of the story is that this is me after I had just snapped the cord on this thingy contractors use to make a chalk line. 
The longer version is that I was at a fundraiser for p:ear, an organization dedicated to creatively mentoring homeless youth, and there was a construction theme and my friend Lois wore a sparkly dress and a tool belt, which is where I got the contractor chalk line thingy.
Anyway, he we are with p:ear's Sarah Dougher and Pink Martini's Thomas Lauderdale.

To earn my butch points for the day, that "contractor chalk line thingy" is called a "chalk line", go figure! And, they are a lot of fun to play with. I used to play with my dad's when I was little. That sounds really bad, doesn't it?
