New Thing #371

I do not meditate. I contemplate. I concentrate. I marinate, percolate and ruminate. Not to mention fornicate. But I'm not good at stilling my mind. Or my body.

But when I got a call from photographer Jeffrey Horvitz asking if I'd pose for a series on meditation, I figured it was time to give it a try. Here's the result.

And here's the crazy part: I was so focused on being still for the camera, that I had the briefest of out-of-body experiences. Just shot right out the top of my head.

Now if I can just get someone to photograph me every time, I could finally meditate.

You can check out some of Horvitz's other photos on his profile on Facebook.

Marco, what in the world are meditating ON? Physically, I mean. It's beautiful, but....I think I would only be able to meditate on my aching ankles while on that thing.

PS If it turns out you enjoy leaving your body, I have a good referral for you...

I have just opened a google account, so I´m not sure this is going to work.
I just wanted to say your hair is beginning to look gorgeous again. Better with each photo you post.

(I have my new account with my nick, but this is my real name. I am the old lady who posts from Madrid)

See what we can do when we're under pressure? Pop through our heads.

Great image! I wish I could say it inspired me to contort myself and breath into my awareness. But truthfully my first thought was: Cute 'do! I think I will now add some jazzy color to my head this weekend.

Lovely image! You're so still...

I had a chance to see your early OWC shoots while I was in getting my test shots. I loved them as well.

ps--my word verification is "gambuti." Which sounds like it -should- mean something, right?
