More Audacity of Hope

Okay, I've moved beyond my obsession with the First Lady's arms to the branches of her family tree. Specifically, her brother, , who is the coach for the Oregon State basketball team. Like the president, Robinson inherited a team in complete disarray. In this profile,
Robinson reveals that he's not only working his players harder than ever, he's insisting on them performing as athlete-scholars. He even keeps a dictionary in the locker room for the team to look up any word he uses that they don't know.

Robinson's mother also reveals two of the family's mottos that speak volumes about how they got where they are:

“If it can be done, you can do it."

and

“A smart man learns from his own mistakes, a wise man learns from the mistakes of others.”

Never in my life have I admired a First Family more.

I agree, the more I see stories about this family, the more impressed I become. The generational connections really inspire me.

Indeed positive mottos to live by.

Have you seen the Today Show this week? Ann, Matt, Meredith and Al are all trying something new, too. Although their choices are much more exotic. They got to be dog handlers at Westminster and painted nudes in an art class. I'm one up on them already, having done the art class.

It's such a positive thing to see intelligent, cultured, and hip leadership back in the Oval Office. I love the Obama's.
