Pissing off Randroids

My WalletPop piece about Ayn Rand is now pissing off Randroids and Greenspanners at the Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/12/08/ayn-rands-popular-again_n_384125.html

I've never read Atlas Shrugged, but I read The Fountainhead last summer. I found it very slow moving with no real pay off at the end. There are so many great writers out there. I'm not sure why Rand's books are listed among the classics.

I think you are on the right track with the Rand-Meyers comparison.

30 years from now there will probably still be Twilight fanatics who consider it a prophetic story and relevant to the political/economic social issues of their time in 2039. :)

Right now, many consider Twilight a teen fantasy written by a hack writer. I think I remember something about her fiction being blasted by critiques during her heyday. But I'm pretty sure it was because she is a good writer, and she wasted her time and talent on fluff.

Keep stirring the pot with good articles!

So far, again, no confirming email to the comment I posted over at Huff... I've posted a few comments on your articles but have never seen them appear.

Maybe you should let someone know that you'd heard from others that posts seem to disappear into cyberzones.
