Woke up this morning dreaming about the beach. So I did something I never do and just up and went. Floyd's out of town, which means I was able to indulge my beach fantasy of cruising along in his Mini-Cooper convertible. But it's a funny thing about riding in a convertible on a cloudless 90 degree day--it may look cool, but it gets uncomfortably hot. On the other hand, the Oregon coast was its usual chilly, breezy self, despite the sunny skies. So I found myself reminded that sometimes things don't work out the way you think.
But the long ride and the time alone put me in just the right meditative zone to solve a host of story problems on my next book. The inspiration just came and came and came. So I also found myself reminded that sometimes things work out better than you expect.

What is your new book going to be about?. Or is it a secret until you finish the first draft?
No secret. I'm working on the threequel. It's called THE JAZZ HANDS OF GOD and it takes the motley crew out to Hollywood.
I don't have a contract for it yet, though, so its future isn't yet certain.
Good. Can´t wait to hear more about them.
Not mari, maria.
