Sometimes a New Thing just happens to you, like today, when I got my bike tire caught in a trolley track and nearly ended up like the guy in this sign.
Perhaps it sounds weird, but I find that purposely noticing these little blips to be very invigorating. I think the job of the artist is to pay attention to the world and to get others to do the same. And I find it just a little ironic that getting into this rut today helps keep me out of my own personal rut.
Enough philosophizing. Originally I was going to punctuate this post with Judy Garland singing "The Trolley Song," but I decided if you're going to spend 2:52 seconds with her, it should be this instead:

There is a story abouy the "Semana Santa " processions in Sevilla (Spain) of one of the barefoot attendants who put his big toe in the rail, and had to follow it to the end of the line.
You see, you were really lucky.
