New Day #341

I got real snakeskin shoes, which I photographed in the mirror all arty and whatnot.

I scored them for free because a friend of a friend works at Nike and they didn't fit him. I've talked about the disproportionate amount of pride I take in having easy-to-fit sample size feet, but I've never thought of myself as someone who loves shoes.

Yet slipping these on makes me inordinately happy, as do many of my shoes. Likewise for hats and scarves. Perhaps it's because the moments of feeling at home in the rest of my body have been so fleeting over the course of my life.

Yeah, still working on that one.

Hey Marky Mark,

way to score free shoes.

I did something new yesterday and thought of you. I was putting money in the parking meter and I pushed the button to get my directions IN A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE.

that's right, instead of having my debit card APPROVED, it was APPROVADO!

and I thought boy I'm really cutting loose! gotta tell Mark about this one.

Cool kicks, Marc! I want a pair! I concur with you on the hats and scarves also, as well as your rationale. I think I'm going to get out of my sick bed to go find a favorite scarf to wrap around me.

I've never thought of Nike making snake skin shoes, but those are pretty cool!

Been there, still doing that...

I knew it was time to go shopping again, for something that feels right on the body. Which for me, has changed in ways I'm not happy with... Shoes is just the beginning. Happy Dancing!
